I have been going to Amari's for years, the food is consistent and well worth the price. The service is marginal at best. This is a busy place and best to make a reservation. The entertainment in the bar is a bad idea in my opinion, becuase you can not always get a table and they seat overflow in the bar. I resent paying the price for great food to listen to loud, bad music and not be able to carry on a conversation.

Something is really out of whack at Amari. The food is wonderful but the service is incredibly horrible with an owners attitude to match! Such a shame to have fabulous food but be such a turn off with the other aspects of the business that customers are made to feel unwelcome. No need to go to Amari for shabby treatment. This place needs a serious attitude adjustment before they go out of business. Too bad because the food it very good!

I am a local in East Sandwich, and I have been going to Amari for years. The food is consistently good, the service is always friendly, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. The menu has something for everyone, and the specails are to die for. The last time I was at Amari I ordered the Pan Seared Sesame Tuna, which is served sushi style, and my husband had the Chicken Rocco, two large chicken breasts breaded and topped with spinach, portobello mushrooms, melted moz. cheese, and a creamy mushroom sauce. Both dishes are excellent, and though the tuna is one of their smaller dishes, the Chicken Rocco is enough for two. The restuarant is usually busy on friday and saturday nights, so I would definetely make a reservation. I do not see this as a bad thing, but as a complement to the restuarants success. If there is a wait, I always enjoy the live music in the bar on the weekends. Amari is one of the best restuarants we've been to, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Overbooking, owner needing a table, therefore, before you can complete a meal including dessert and appetizers, wine, etc. within 1 hour and 40 minutes a party of 5 is asked to leave an move to the bar to complete their evening so the owner can roll the table for another party while after dinner drinks, desserts and wine are still being consumed is outrageous! We did not go to dinner with our family to sit at the bar, which had no seating available anyway, we went to dinner to enjoy a meal and be a family.

My husband followed a recommendation and took me to Amari for our 1st Anniversary. It was fabulous. We had the Woodstone Appetizer Sampler. We shared stuffed mushrooms, lobster rangoons (these were amazing), huge prosciutto and basil wrapped shrimp, cordon bleu like nuggets, and bacon wrapped scallops. By the time we got our entrees, I was almost full. I had the chicken abruzzese and my husband had a veal, chicken and eggplant parmigiana special. We both had enough left over for 2 more meals each! Great ambiance, waitstaff, and overall service. I would definitely go here again and again!
